Oracy Development 

Since the start of the Academic year we have been focusing on Oracy and the spoken word. In order for this to be a success we have adopted a 'No Hands Up' policy for many of our core subjects. The aim of this is to promote discussions; understand that every voice is important in the classroom. Furthermore, it is designed to encourage, motivate and increase confidence in the classroom. As well as broaden our vocabulary and becoming attentive listeners. 

Children are confident to speak in a classroom where they are valued and appreciated and that is exactly what we have at Aveton Gifford Primary.
