Welcome to Our School

Thinking of joining us?
We hold Open Days and welcome visits from parents and children who are considering applying for a place here, as this is a great opportunity for you to see what we have to offer. If you would like to visit, please contact us to make an appointment. (Visits are not a compulsory part of the admissions process and will not affect decisions on whether a place can be offered at our school.)
Our Admissions policies:
The Admissions policies for pupils' admissions during the academic years 2023-24 and 2024-25 can be found below. They include a timetable for appeals.
The following amendments were made in August 2021 to the determined policy for 2022-23 to comply with the revised School Admissions Code 2021: priority for children adopted from state care outside England was added to oversubscription criterion 1; wording added to reflect that decisions on in-year admissions must be sent to a parent within 15 school days; provision added for Hard to Place children; advice added regarding applications for overseas children.

Consultation on admissions arrangements for 2025-26
We are taking part in the annual consultation on admissions policies for 2025-26, which is run by Devon County Council. This consultation can be found here.
We are not proposing to make any significant changes to the admissions policy for this school.
The Admissions Appeals Timetable 2024
Appeals at the normal round of admissions will be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals on 31 May 2024. Where the application was not made in time for a decision to be made on 16 April 2024, they will be heard within that 40-day period or, if that is not possible, within 30 days of the appeal being lodged. In-year admission appeals must be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
