Pre-School: The Hive

Welcome to the Pre-School section!

Aveton Gifford Pre-School, 'The Hive', is a purpose built modern building situated immediately adjacent to the school playground and eco-area and accessed via the school grounds.

Our school has a close working relationship with our village Pre-School which is led by, Katie Blewitt, Pre-School Manager.

Katie and our Early Years Lead Teachers work collaboratively to ensure the best possible links are maintained between the two learning environments. During the summer term, the children who are due to join us here in school in September, spend Friday afternoons with our Early Years Class to enable them to become more familiar with 'big' school surroundings and help their transition from pre-school to school.  

Morning                   9 am - 12 midday (Monday - Friday)

Lunch Club             12 - 1 pm (Monday - Friday)

Afternoon                1 - 3.30 pm (Monday - Friday)

Wrap-around care at 'The Hive'
 

Our school works closely with 'The Hive' to provide Out of School options for families.

Did you know that Katie at The Hive offers a 'morning session' for all aged children - Pre-school and primary age whereby children can be dropped off from 8:00 am and brought down to school? 

There is also an after-school club, where children can be collected from 3:15 pm and looked after until parental collection at either 4/5/6 pm at The Hive.
