Swans enjoyed another great day of outdoor activities yesterday as their 'Forest and Beach' residential week continued.
The day started with a three mile coastal walk to the Start Point Lighthouse, following the path that the Lighthouse Keeper's children used to walk to and from school on a daily basis! After a guided tour around the lighthouse, the children enjoyed an afternoon of beach activities which included cooking and sharing hot chocolate, popcorn and toasted marshmallow around a fire pit.
The children all took part in preparing the evening meal and we discovered that one of our 'Toms' is a great chef!
Once dinner had been cleared away, the camp fire was lit and story teller Mark Hill joined us in the woods to tell the children some brilliant stories.
Waking up to blue skies and sunshine today, the children are looking forward to a day of forest activities including shelter building and green woodwork followed by dinner at '@Britannia'.
