Our visit to Royal William Yard

On the final day of our 'Science and Environment Week' the whole school travelled to the Royal William Yard in Plymouth where they spent the morning learning about the different types of Plankton, looked at the wide variety of crabs which can be found in our local waters before they enjoyed an historical tour of the former naval yard and a boat trip along the River Tamar.

Everyone had a great day, in spite of the rain, and we are very grateful to Dr Juliette Jackson for organising it all as part of our Royal Society Grant project.
