History Day

On Friday 28th February, the whole school enjoyed a packed day of history! All children came dressed as a person from history, with houses and classes taking part in different activites to learn about various periods in time. This included the Tudors: discussing who Henry VIII was and his importance in history, his six wives, who they were and what happened to them. Another class looked at the Victorians, exploring what it would have been like in a Victorian school, a timetable of the school day and comparing the experience to modern day school life. They learnt about the cane, the dunces hat and other punishments, and practised writing lines in beautiful handwriting sitting at desks
