On Tuesday 6th September we had our whole school British Values Day and learnt about the British values; tolerance of those of other beliefs or faiths, mutual respect, democracy, the rule of law and individual liberty. Although these sound quite complicated to understand, we immersed the children in them through stories and drama and they got a lot out of the day. The younger children learnt about laws and made crowns. Some of the discussions the children had with the adults were very mature and thoughtful. They now have a much deeper understanding of what makes our country's identity and how we can implement some of these values in our school.
