Years 1 and 2 experienced a whole day of Forest School activities yesterday. The morning was spent learning about all of the important things to do to make sure that they kept safe whilst learning outdoors. Then they prepared their own bread to bake in the outdoor 'Fire Pit', which the older children built recently with Pete Moore from 'Forest and Beach'.
In the afternoon, after changing into their old clothes, the children went to the Forest School outdoor learning area to bake their bread and toast marshmallows! They also made mud sculptures and did some beautiful willow weaving.
They all had an amazing time and ended the day slightly mud-splattered and full of chocolate spread covered home-made bread!!
