Spring 2

This half term we will be continuing to look at explorers in History. We will also be continuing our learning about animals in Science, thinking about bones and muscles and how they move. In our Geography learning, we will be focusing in on the human and physical features of the UK. In Computing, we will be developing our coding skills and in RE we will be learning all about Holy Week in the build up to Easter.

Visit to Buckland Abbey - Thursday 12th March 2020

Egrets had a brilliant trip to Buckland Abbey. We had two different activities, a tour and then a costume activity where they got to dress up like Tudors. They developed their learning about the famous explorer Sir Francis Drake and imagined what it would have been like living there.

On the 27th February, Mrs May, Physio Therapist, visited Egrets Class. The children learnt all about bones, muscles and how they help us.

We learnt about the font, the pulpit, the bell, the pews, the choir stalls and many other features of the church are important for Christians and how they help them to worship God. We also had a feast of bread and grapes at the Lord's Table at the back of the church and learnt about why Christians have communion.
